đź”´HEMATOCRIT
Red Blood Cell Volume & Blood Viscosity
WHAT IT MEASURES
Percentage of blood volume occupied by red blood cells
Oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood
Blood viscosity and flow resistance
Erythropoiesis activity level
Cardiovascular strain indicator

Post-phlebotomy target | <48% | Target |
WHY IT MATTERS
TRT and anabolic compounds directly stimulate erythropoiesis — your body produces more red blood cells, thickening the blood. When hematocrit climbs above 52%, blood viscosity reaches dangerous levels, dramatically increasing the risk of stroke, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE). Monitor every 6–10 weeks on cycle. If elevated, increase hydration, donate blood, or schedule therapeutic phlebotomy. This is one of the most critical markers for performance athletes.
